Rookie Route

When our riders are just getting there turns together, we like to head up the Paquis chair lift, then follow the Piste "H" into Val Claret. This is best first thing in the morning, when it has just been groomed, and all is quiet. Piste "H" has a perfect gradient and no camber which makes it perfect for Rookie Snowboarders. Then head back up Tuffs chair and take The Creux blue run down to the bottom of Tommeuse chair. The Creux is an easy blue, with variations in pitch which develops the rookies skills. Head back up Tommeuse then down load on Aeroski to Tignes Le Lac or take "H" again if you need to return to Val Claret.

Rookie further afield

If you're looking for more of an excursion from Le Lac head up the Aeroski Cruise down the Creux (blue) all the way to the Mont Blanc chair. Take this chair over the Snow Park, then drop down to the Marmottes Express, afterwards there is a gentle traverse called Collet which takes you to an area called the Green triangle. You will see a chairlift called the Grand Prix. This is probably the best run on the mountain for perfecting those turns. After a few laps follow the Grand Prix piste all the way down to the Fontaine Froide Chair lift. At the top, take Piste Verte either all the way back to Tommeuse if you want to return to the Tignes area, or just down to the Borsat Express which will enable you to do the Triangle all over again when you take the Genepy back to Grand Prix.
